08/15/24 | ~>4,153 | Main Uconnect front/center screen failed. Blue flicker and then just off/black after restarting vehicle. Put vehicle in ACC mode and held volume/browse for 30s only to see blue-screen flash and screen turn back off "Get in car and push start twice (RUN) with foot off the brake to keep engine from starting. Then, hold the red temp up [^] and blue down [v] switches simultaneously for about 8 seconds (physical buttons, not virtual). The engineering menu on the 8.4a/n should appear. The last menu item on the first page is 'Reset Radio'. " The soft reset instructions suggested above may not work on your vehicle as they are for a different generation of Uconnect systems. For your system, if you press and hold in the upper left or right hand corner of the screen for 10-15 seconds that should perform a soft reset on your system. If this doesn't help the best next step would be performing a hard reset which would unfortunately delete any saved data (phone pairings, radio presets, etc.). F76. Stop car somewhere safe, put in park and set parking brake, and turn off, opening and closing driver's door in the process. Open hood, open fuse box. Pull fuse F76 using the white pull tool stowed inside the fuse box. Wait a second, then put fuse back in. Put pull tool away, close fuse box and close hood. Start car and let Uconnect boot up (some things won't be working properly at this point, e.g. the climate control, satellite radio and so on). Turn car off, open and close driver's door, wait a moment for everything to switch off again. Start car again. The system (should) work at this point. Full procedure takes a few minutes tops. hold in the Mute and Tune buttons together for about 5 seconds. |
